Leslie Alison True was born on December 2, 1962 in St. Louis MO to Craig Llewellyn Stump and Patricia Ann Stump. Her parents were both Cheyenne natives so she always had strong roots here.
For most of her young life, Leslie lived in Ridgecrest CA and Sherman Oaks CA.
After her daughter, Savannah was born, Leslie and her then husband Pace Clayton relocated moved to Cheyenne with their new baby.
She got remarried in 1999 to Randal True with whom she had just recently celebrated their 25th anniversary.
Leslie will always be remembered as an awesome grandma to her grand kids, Isaiah, Aubriana, Alani and Jesus. She was always full of love for all the grandkids, who returned that love tenfold.
She always had a smile and friendly, enthusiastic conversation with everyone she met. She really had a giving heart and loved doing things like making rice bags to give out to friends, family and co-workers.
Leslie worked for the State of Wyoming for 29 years, beginning with the State working in the office of Governor Jim Geringer, then moving to the Wyoming Retirement System where she worked for the last 21 years. She always took her work seriously and was very concerned with doing the best job she could for the people of Wyoming.
Leslie had many varying interests over the years. She was big fan of Renaissance Faires, and actually spent some time working at one in California as a young woman. She introduced Randy and Savannah, as well as several of her friends in Cheyenne to Renaissance Faires by encouraging us to go with her to the Colorado Renaissance Faire for several years.
She enjoyed riding motorcycles and spent many happy miles riding with Randy, first as a passenger, then on her own motorcycles. As a former crafter who made many beautiful Native American inspired beaded pieces, she loved going to craft shows. She was a great bargain hunter, who loved browsing thrift stores.
She loved going to concerts with Randy and also going to car shows with him, but in recent years her favorite pastime was going kayaking at North Crow and Crystal, where she spent many happy hours paddling around the lakes and appreciating nature and the scenery .
Leslie passed in the early morning on July 13, 2024, with her daughter Savannah and her partner Jose Navarro by her side, after a brief and aggressive illness.
Leslie was proceeded in death by her father Craig Stump and her mother Patricia Stump.
She is survived by her husband, Randy True, daughter, Savannah Clayton and her significant other Jose Navarro, grand kids Isaiah, Aubriana, Alani and Jesus, her siblings, sister Cindy Daugherty and her husband Mike and their children Danny and Deirdre, and brother Michael Stump, his wife Betz and kids Edward and Kayleigh, as well as many extended family members and her former husband Pace Clayton, who will all miss her greatly.
