Lloyd Sherman

Lloyd M. "Butch" Sherman, 72, of Cheyenne died April 14, 2013 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born June 20, 1940 in Spearfish, SD to Austin and Lorna Sherman. He married Sherry McMillan on December 13, 1971 in Belle Fourche SD. He was a right-of-way negotiator for the Wyoming Dept. of Transportation and US West. He was a volunteer of Cheyenne Frontier Days for 41 years and a former member of Kiwanis, the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Sherman of Cheyenne; his son, J.R. (Alexandra) Sherman of Cheyenne; his daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Eddy of Fairplay, CO; his sister-in-law, Arlene Sherman of Cheyenne; his nephew, Dick Sherman of Sun City, AZ; and two nieces, Penny Sherman of Cheyenne and Kay Wilson of Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Louise Sessams and Austin Sherman. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Memorial Scholarship Foundation or the Shriner's Hospital for Children. Memorial Services will be Thursday 2:00 p.m. in the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Dave Carlson officiating. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
