Loella Ziegler

Loella Mae Augustadt was born on May 10, 1913 in Goodrich, ND. She was the daughter of Adolph and Anna Gleitz Augustadt. Loella obtained her degree in teaching at Valley City State University, Valley City, ND and taught in a country school near her home on ND. She married Gerald P. (Peter) "Jerry" Ziegler on November 10, 1936 i8n Mason City and resided in Waterloo, IA for approximately fifty years. As a homemaker, Loella raised her surviving daughter, Jo Ann Ziegler, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Waterloo Elklets. She also enjoyed playing bridge and participated in numerous social activities. During her final years of life, Loella resided with her daughter in Cheyenne, WY. Leolla is preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Leonard, Paul, and Wayne. Memorial services and interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo, IA. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be designated for the care of the pet cemetery at the Cedar Bend Humane Society at 1166 West Airline Hwy, Waterloo, IA, 50703.
