Lois M. Gren

On June 30 2023, Lois Gren passed away peacefully in Wheatland, Wyoming. She was 96 years old. Lois was truly the best kind of person. When you showed up, no matter who you were, you were welcomed and fed. She took care of people and made them feel heard and seen. She did hard things with grace. While moving around the world for years as a military wife, she made the best of difficult situations. She raised three wonderful children. She grew gardens and let her grandbabies forage. She shared her most beloved recipes, but occasionally threw in something while you weren’t looking. She created traditions that generations of her family look forward to now. She enjoyed golf, reading and getting together with friends. She loved her family unconditionally.

Lois was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Donald Gren, and by her son Terry Gren. She is survived by her daughter Joan McKee (Larry) of Wheatland, Wyoming, and her daughter Carolyn Hammack (Steve) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, daughter-in-law Gloria Gren of St. Michael, Minnesota, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Saturday July 8, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1863 South St., Wheatland, Wyoming.
