Lois Hill

Lois Lucille Hill, 90, of Cheyenne has gone to meet her Lord on January 31, 2016, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 9, 1925, in Stockton, Kansas. She graduated from Webster High School in 1943, earning a certificate to teach in a country school for three years. Lois married Robert W. McDonald on December 26, 1946. They had three children, Barbara, Linda and Robert Jr. She was widowed on July 1, 1950. She married Ralph E. Hill on June 7, 1952. They had six children, Loretta, Bernice, Roxanna, Ralph Jr. and twins, Vicky and Vern. She was widowed again on March 14, 1967. In 1970, she became an LPN at LCCC. She was in the very first graduating class of LPN's at LCCC in 1971. She worked at Memorial Hospital for eighteen years. She retired at age 66 in 1991. She loved to tell her childhood stories to her children and grandchildren. Lois is survived by her children, Barbara J. Petrie (Duane Hankins), Linda K. Baker (Chuck), Robert W. McDonald Jr. (Cindy), Loretta L. Hill, Bernice F. Hill (Tony Kasowski), Roxanna G. Armstrong (Marvin), Ralph E. Hill Jr., and Vicky L. Hill; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward McGhghy of Houston, TX; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Eli E. and Letitia S. McGhghy (Whittle); two husbands; one infant son, Vern D. Hill; one infant granddaughter, Lacrecia Hill; one grandson, Jeremiah Decker; two brothers, Arvy and Ralph McGhghy; and three sisters, Catherine McGhghy, Marian Williams and Betty Visness. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Private family services will be held. May Jesus greet her with open arms with all the blessings she so richly deserves.
