Lola May Ehler, 92, passed on to the next life on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Laramie Care Center. She was born March 4, 1925, in Martin, South Dakota. Lola May was a loving wife, mother and friend. She married her soul mate, Lonald, shortly before his discharge from the Army in 1946. In their early years, she and Lonald owned and worked in a small drug and sundry store in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. When the store was sold in 1956, they moved to what would be their forever home, Cheyenne. Here they raised two children and established themselves with many friends. Lola May will be remembered as a strong Christian woman dedicated to her family, friends and church. She loved sewing, square dancing, china painting, traveling and reading. She had a passion for writing inspirational notes and cards to send to friends and family in times of need, or simply to say "Hello". No friend was forgotten. She is survived by her daughter, Shelley Hermreck and her husband, Stan; son, Bradley and his wife, Christine; grandsons, Ryan Hermreck and Matt Ehler; granddaughters, Julie Johnson and Natalie Acheson; great-granddaughters, Ezri Acheson, Faith Johnson and Lola Hermreck; and great-grandson, Zaryk Acheson. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 14th at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
