Louis J. "Jack" Wascher, 85, of Cheyenne died April 24, 2013 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born September 15, 1927 in LaGrange, WY to Lewis and Alice Wascher. He graduated from Hillsdale High School. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy for 8 years. He retired from Western Area Power where he was a high voltage electrician and supervisor of area substations. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge Burns Chapter #41, A.F. & A.M. where he was Past Master, a life member of VFW Frontier Chapter 11453. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wascher of Cheyenne; daughter Connie Wascher Ludtke of Cheyenne; granddaughter, Mandy Ludtke Lowe and her husband Eric of Burns; sister, Lois Spatz of Hillsdale and his beloved cat, Barney. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dutch Wascher. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and private family services will be held at Hillsdale Cemetery at a later date.
