Lydia Randall, 69, died after a long illness on December 27, at her home in Cheyenne. She was born April 14, 1944, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Jose Davila and Rogelia Lopez. Lydia graduated class of 1962, from Dr. Santiago Veve Calzada High School. She graduated from Eastern Business College in 1964, and received an associates degree as a surgical technician in 1965, in Santurce, P.R. She worked as a surgical tech in the Gubern Clinic in Fajardo, P.R., and VA Hospital in Cheyenne, WY, where she retired in 2010. Lydia was a member of the Red Hat Society in Cheyenne and attended the Church of St. Peter Apostle and Confessor. Lydia is survived by her husband of 24 years, Richard Randall; daughters, Linda Talavera and Brenda Handelman; both of North Carolina; son, Nelson Fresses of Cheyenne; stepdaughter, Brenda Lewis; nine grandchildren ; five great-grandchildren; her five sisters and two brothers; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday noon to 4:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Peter Apostle and Confessor.
