Lynn Hamblin, 74, passed away on November 10, 2024 from natural causes at the Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness facility in Cheyenne, where he was a resident for the past two years. He was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Lewis and Marion Hamblin on Nov. 12, 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician (ETN2) during the Vietnam War. After his family moved to Laramie, Lynn held a number of jobs, including at In-Situ in Laramie and Fort Collins, CO, and at UW. A Laramie resident for over 40 years, he liked to ride motorcycles, was an amateur astronomer and he loved music and movies. He built audio systems and was a gun collector. He was on the board of directors of the Laramie Film Society and was a longtime active member of the Laramie Astronomical Society and Space Observers. He is survived by a brother, Steve, of New Mexico. His remains will be interred in the Cheyenne National Cemetery.
