Mae Smith

Mae P. Smith, 96, of Cheyenne died June 17, 2015 at Davis Hospice Center. She was born July 18, 1918 in Glenpool, Oklahoma to Charles and Elizabeth Petty. She married Terrell Thompson, who preceded her in death in WWII. She later married Weston Smith on November 27, 1948 in Tacoma, WA, he also preceded her in death. She was an elementary school cafeteria manager and a member of North Cheyenne Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter - in-law, Tom and Kathy Thompson of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Charles Thompson, Michael Thompson and Cindy Darden; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husbands, one brother and seven sisters. Those who wish may contribute to the Salvation Army. A Memory Service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. Interment of her urn will be in Boise, ID. Cremation and services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
