Mrs. Marcia E. Johnson, 76, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away early Monday morning, April 22, 2013, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Mrs. Johnson was born May 29, 1936, in Kimball, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Earl and Doris (Kindvall) Fritz. Marcia graduated from Egbert High School in 1955. She married Don Johnson in 1959 and they made Scottsbluff their home in 1960. She worked for Terry Carpenter, Inc. for a number of years while also owning a lawn care service and an office cleaning business. She enjoyed riding her bike and watching sports, particularly her favorite boxer, Joe Lewis, the Denver Broncos, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Wyoming Cowboys. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. She was a Christian and she was active in numerous church activities. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Marcia is survived by her daughter, Peggy Callahan and husband, Kevin, of Scottsbluff, NE; her son, Jeff Johnson of Cheyenne; one grandson, Myles Callahan of Scottsbluff, NE; two brothers, Frank Fritz of Pine Bluffs, WY, and Wayne Fritz of Bullhead, AZ; and four sisters, Darline Butler of Pine Bluffs, WY, Arline Christensen of Scottsbluff, NE, Mildred Meroney of Great Bend, KS, and Carol Smock of Grover, CO. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Don Johnson on March 11, 2011. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kimball Cemetery.
