Margot "Diane" Williams, 83, of Cheyenne went home with the angels on November 29, 2013, with the same strong spirit she approached everything in her life. Diane was born January 4, 1930, in Marysville, KS, to Marguerite Helen (Wood) and Lewis Calvin Parker. The family moved to Rawlins, WY, where Diane graduated from Rawlins High School in 1948. Graduating amongst the top of her class, she spoke most often of the friends made and fun times they shared growing up in Rawlins. She attended Loretto Heights College School of Nursing in Denver CO, where she had received a scholarship which allowed her to follow her desire to become a nurse. She graduated in the class of 1951, one of her many achievements in life. She excelled in her profession for nearly 50 years, as well as taking care of her children, family members and extended family members. In her youth, Diane loved to hunt, fish and spend time in her beloved Rocky Mountains. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, romance novels and many other hobbies. She enjoyed hearing about and/or attending her class reunions, whether it was Rawlins High School or Mercy Hospital Alumni. She enjoyed catching up with her friends. She will be missed greatly by all. Her ability to establish confidence and show compassion for those in her life was amazing. Diane is survived by her children, John Colaizzi (Kristi) of Centerville, UT, Susan Williams (partner Becky Conway) of Atlanta, GA, Sharon George of Cheyenne, Shawlee Martin (Dwight) of Laurel, MD, and Jeffery Williams of Cheyenne; grandsons, Brian Colaizzi, Jason Groblebe, Daniel Groblebe, Scott Dewberry and Anthony Colaizzi; great grandchildren, Rose Groblebe and Quintin Dewberry; her sisters, Betty Parker and Jean Burt; best friend and beloved cousin, Joanne Furman; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be no visitation or service at this time. It was her wish to be returned to her beloved Rocky Mountains and a memorial service will be held next year when her children fulfill this wish. Family and friends who wish may contribute to the Davis Hospice Center, Cheyenne Wyoming, where the staff went out of their way to take excellent care of her, as well as assisting family members through this difficult time. Memories and condolences may be shared on the memorial page at www.schradercares.com. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
