Maria Martinez

Maria Margarita Martinez, 97, of Cheyenne, WY passed away Sunday March 27, 2017. Maria was born October 19, 1919 in Gascon, NM to Moises and Genoveva Martinez. She worked for DePaul Hospital and retired from the Veteran's Affairs Hospital as a medical technician. Maria is survived by her children, Alphonse Leroy (Diane) Martinez of Cheyenne, Gerald (Beth) Martinez of Wisconsin, Samuel (Olivia) Martinez of Cheyenne, Maria Rosie (Max) Salas of Cheyenne, Virginia (Stephen) Brinkerhoff of Cheyenne, Lori (Danny) Miller of Wisconsin and John (Missy) Lucero of Cheyenne WY; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Moises and Genoveva Martinez; her husband, George C. Martinez Sr.; her brother, John B Martinez; son, George C. Martinez Jr.; daughter, Emmelinda Miller and granddaughters, Julie Sullivan and Rena Lee Spratte. Vigil for the deceased will be at 3:00p.m. Sunday the 2nd of April, 2017 in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be at 10:30a.m. Monday the 3rd at St. Mary's Cathedral followed by interment of her urn in Olivet Cemetery. Click link below to view tribute slideshow.
