Maria Padilla

Mrs. Maria Evangelina (Garcia) Padilla, 83, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne. Mrs. Padilla was born August 20, 1928, in Ledoux, New Mexico, a daughter of the late Alfonso and Perpetua (Vigil) Garcia. Maria is survived by three sons, Ronald Padilla of Laramie, WY, Bill Padilla of Cheyenne, and Reuben Padilla and wife, Chris, of Cato de Coza, CA; two grandchildren, Antonio Padilla and wife, Amanda, of Lander, WY, and Teresa Padilla of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, Ernest Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, and Domingo Garcia of Denver, CO; and three sisters, Flora Romero of Mora, NM, Sofia Balland of Cheyenne, and Bercy Espinoza of Mora, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Tony Padilla, who died August 17, 2008; and a sister, Gertrude Esquibel. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss as celebrant. A private family interment service will be held in Olivet Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
