Mario Roberto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 11, 2024, in Cheyenne, WY. Born to Cecilia Cabigao Roberto and Vicente Roberto on May 25, 1965 in Malolos City, Philippines.
Mario’s early years were shared with his siblings, Yolanda, Paterno, Celeste, and Flordeliza, creating a tapestry of memories filled with laughter. In 1987, he earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Bulacan State University.
Professionally, Mario was a cornerstone in the civil engineering community, from Asia to the United States. His vision and dedication were evident in his works from the iconic bridge of the Petronas Towers in Malaysia to the bustling projects in Cheyenne, WY.
In 1987, Mario married his college sweetheart, Luzviminda De Leon, in a ceremony that remains a cherished memory for all who attended. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joyous hustle and bustle of raising their four children: Lisette, Michael, Michelle, and Mark. Mario’s legacy is also carried on by his adored grandchildren: Gabrielle and Luke.
Predeceased by his father Vicente Roberto and his brother Paterno, Mario’s memory is honored and kept alive by his loving wife Luz, his children, his cherished grandchildren, his mother, and his sisters.
A rosary prayer service and viewing will be held on June 20, 2024, at 7:00 pm St. Mary’s Cathedral, Cheyenne, WY. The funeral mass will be held on June 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Cheyenne, WY, with a reception to follow at the St. Mary’s Cathedral’s Hartmann Hall.
