A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, April 9th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Father Steven Titus as celebrant. An interment service will be held at Olivet Cemetery with a reception to follow at St. Mary’s Hartman Hall. Cremation has taken place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory. Marjorie L. O’Brien, a resident at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne, died on Sunday April 4, 2010 at the age of 83 from respiratory failure. She was born on September 5, 1926 in Laramie, Wyoming, a daughter to Anna McCue and Edward Eykyn. She married Hobart O’Brien on June 15, 1950 in Laramie. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, the Sacred Heart Prayer Group, always a friend to those in need, and a mentor to those of little faith. Mrs. O’Brien is survived by her children, Kevin and his wife, Carolyn, of Denver, CO, Kerry and his wife, Lisa, of Sacramento, CA, Calin of Cheyenne, and Grady and his wife, Michelle , of Ft. Collins. She has 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Shaun; her sister, Anna Marie Hill; and her husband,Hobie. Expressions of sympathy in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Catholic Social Services, 2315 Bent Avenue, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
