Mrs. Marjorie A. (Weakly) Smith, 79, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was born May 28, 1935, in Hyannis, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Alice E. (Brownfield) Weakly. Marjorie worked as a nurse for DePaul Hospital and later for the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne. Her many interests included volunteering at the CRMC Pink Boutique and also with numerous functions at the First Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing. She will be remembered as a loving, caring, compassionate and hard-working individual who loved her family. Marjorie is survived by her four sons, George Smith of Alliance, NE, David Smith of Cheyenne, Paul Smith of Denver, CO, and John Smith of Casper, WY; three brothers, Bob Weakly of Bonners Ferry, ID, Joseph Weakley of Arvada, CO, and Gerald Weakly of Cheyenne; a sister, Doris Hamilton of Alliance, NE; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A memory service will be conducted on Friday, July 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Elizabeth Wilson officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
