Martha Hartman

Martha Nell (Hays) Hartman, 90, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Saturday evening, November 14, 2015, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born May 14, 1925, in Castor, Louisiana, a daughter of the late John S. and Ruby E. (White) Hays. Martha married John Leland Hartman on January 14, 1946, in Shreveport, LA. She spent her life caring for her home and family. Her interests included playing cards, doing crafts, sewing, and she was an avid Rockies fan. Martha is survived by her four children, Carol Gass, Dianne Myers and husband Mickey, Mike Hartman, and David Hartman and wife, Jeannie; a brother, James "Dub" Hays; grandchildren, Jennifer Gass, Alison Touchton, Kara Reddig, Jason Myers and Kari Hartman; and five great-grandchildren. Martha is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Leland Hartman; four brothers, Roy, Ray, Wayne "Tig" and Keith "Dempse" Hays; two sisters, Betty Bennett and Sunshine Wise; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Ilene Gass, and son-in-law, Thomas H. Gass. A memory service will be on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Schrader Reception Center. A private interment service will be held at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
