Martha J. Mackey

Martha JoAnn Mackey, a longtime resident of Cheyenne Wyoming, passed way on April 18, 2023 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, from heart complications, stroke.

Martha Joann Mackey was born on June 22,1939 in Holyoke Colorado

 to Dewayne and Hazel Gaunt. Where 4 children were born, Dormand, Valetta, Martha, Dianna.

Martha, her bother Dormand, & two sisters Valetta and Dianna grew up North of Holyoke on the family farm. Where she attended school. After high school she was married to Raymond Harmon. where 4 children were born, Cindy, Randy, Lilly, & Betty (later, Betty being adopted by her dad Allan Mackey)

She later, married Allan Mackey in 1976. And eventually settled in the Cheyenne Wyoming area in 1991, where they made it home. Allan brought to the family a son, Allan Mackey 3^rd, She had 8 grand kids & 1 great grand-son, that she would enjoy time with.

Martha did maid work, and many different odd jobs throughout her life.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with her husband Allan.

She is survived by 3 daughters Cindy Harmon of Kansas MO., Lilly Baum (Kevin) of Colorado, Betty Hooks (Jimmy) 0f Wyo., 1 son, Randy Harmon of Colorado,1 stepson Allan Mackey of Wyo. Granddaughter Megan Newman (Ryan) of Wyo., Hannah of Colorado, grandsons Cody Thiel of Neb., Jr Hooks of Wyo., Cody, Robert, & Lauren Mackey of Wyo. one great grandson Sammy of Wyo. And one sister Dianna Earhardt (Richard) of Iowa, many nephews and nieces.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister Valetta, bother Dormand, and two Husbands Raymond Harmon, and Allan Mackey, an infant grandchild (at birth), grandchild William Hobbs.

There will be no service, Martha will be laid to rest at Oregon Trail Veterans in Casper Wyoming, next to her husband Allan.
