Martha "Betty" Parker went with the Angels on February 26, 2014. She was born May 31, 1924, to Marguerite Helen and Lewis Calvin Parker, the second of three sisters. She loved the fact that she shared her birth date with her mother and enjoyed celebrating the day with her. She was a most gentle and loving person and the sweetest soul any of her family can remember ever knowing. She cared for her mother, as well as helping to raise and care for her nephews, nieces, and other family members. This she did with endless compassion, love and endurance. Her amazing ability to recall details of her life growing up in Rawlins, Wyoming, made her stories fascinating. Her skill at playing and winning Rummy was legendary within the family. She will be missed greatly by those who were part of her life and loved her as she had loved them. She is survived by a sister, Jean; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and recently her younger sister, Diane. There will be no services at this time. There will be a memorial by the family at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82009.
