Martin Ferguson

Martin W. Ferguson, Sr., 98, of Lingle died February 11, 2014 in Torrington, WY. He was born February 7, 1916 in Cheyenne, WY to Walter and Julia Ferguson. He married Gladys "Mina" Talkington on February 28, 1965 in Carpenter. He retired from ranching and was a member of the First Congregational Church, International Order of Oddfellows Lodge #1, Golden K, Farm Bureau, Wyoming Stockgrowers and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. He is survived by his wife, Gladys "Mina" Ferguson of Lingle, WY; children, Christine Burkhart and Julie Tiedaman of Des Moines, IA, Jo Ann Soto, Jack Talkington and Connie Snyder of Cheyenne Jim Talkington of Hillsdale, , Lela Dennis of Lingle, WY; 18 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Martin W. Ferguson, Jr., brothers, Mark, Walter, II., and Charles Ferguson; sisters Eva Ferguson, Martha Salsbury and Bergetta Wilson and 3 grandchildren. Donations may be made to First Congregational Church. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the First Congregational Church with interment to follow in Beth El Cemetery. Services are under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
