A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Steve Titus as celebrant. An interment service will be held at the Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Henry) Ridgeway, 88, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Mrs. Ridgeway was born October 15, 1921, in Seneca Falls, New York, the daughter of John and Margaret (Halpin) Henry. She was a registered nurse and served as a United States Army nurse during World War II. Following her honorable discharge, she married Homer E. Ridgeway on January 10, 1950, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her interest in medicine and helping others led her to work at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center until her retirement in 1986. Mrs. Ridgeway is survived by two daughters, Jean E. Kremler Ridgeway of Colorado Springs, CO, and Barbara A. Villanyi Ridgeway of Elizabeth, CO; two sons, William Ridgeway and wife, Kathi, of Westminster, CO, and James Ridgeway of Cheyenne; and five grandchildren, Aron and Sara Villanyi, John and Mary F. Ridgeway, and Katie Kremler. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Homer E. Ridgeway.
