Mary Anne Selway

Mary Anne Selway, 75, of Cheyenne passed away July 23, 2019 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 31, 1944 in Rochester, NY to Frank and Peggy Miller. She received a BA in Social Work from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and soon joined VISTA, teaching on the Lame Deer Reservation in Montana. In 1969 she married Peter Selway. She helped institute the Montessori School Program in New Hampshire and later worked as a revenue agent for the federal government. She was known for her incredible kindness, which was complemented by a brilliant mind. She is survived by her brother, Jack (Ginny) Miller; her son, Hugh (Tracy) Selway; grandchildren, Rhys and Madeline Selway; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Peggy, her husband Peter and her brother David. Memorial reception to be held at the Schrader Reception Center on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please send donations to Needs, Inc. at 900 Central Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82007 in lieu of flowers.
