Mary "Joanne" Pierce

Mary "Joanne" Pierce, 75, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne. Joanne was born May 2, 1941, in Rockford, Illinois, a daughter of the late Willard and Mary A. (Edmonds) Higbee. She married Jennings D."Jay" Pierce on September 9, 1972. She enjoyed caring for her home and her many interests included sewing, needlepoint, and reading. She was a lifelong learner who also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Joanne is survived by five children, Scott Plunkett (Joseph Kosciw) of New York City, NY, Julie Sarazin (Michael) of Onalaska, WI, Patricia Roloff of Cheyenne, Jennifer Roedel (John) of Cheyenne, and Stephanie Dougherty (Ryan) of Omaha, NE; brother, Willard Higbee, Jr. of Rockford, IL; and 11 grandchildren, Thomas, John, Nicholas, Bearach, Gracie, Noah, Riley, Logan, Bree, Mia and Emerson. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Jennings "Jay" Pierce. Private family services will be held. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
