Melvin Loose

Melvin D. Loose, 86, of Cheyenne died May 2, 2015 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1928 in Fort Morgan, CO to Jacob and Katherine Loose. He married Harriett Kasper on August 10, 1945 in Golden, CO. He retired as the office manager for Ward Transport and was a member of the Airport Golf Course. Mel was an avid fisherman and loved camping, fishing and golfing. He loved the outdoors and his gardens. He is survived by his wife, Harriett Loose of Cheyenne; children, James Melvin Loose of Tucson, AZ, Merijean Sumner of Denver, CO, Michael J. Loose of Cheyenne and Jill Wieser of Cheyenne; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Edward Loose and Violet Uhrig. A Celebration of Life will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Airport Golf Club. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.schradercares.com.
