Merita L. Miller, 72, of Granite Canon, WY died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. Merita was born April 17, 1939 in Greeley, CO, the daughter of Lester and Myrtle Hood.On November 10, 1956, she married Richard Daniel Miller in Wheatridge, CO. Merita is survived by one daughter Brenette Medina of Rigby, ID and one son Byron Miller of Granite Canon, WY. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Merita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, one son Bret Miller, one daughter Brenda Miller, two brothers J.L. Hood and Dean Hood and one sister Thelma Webb. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Schrader Chapel. Interment will be in Carpenter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday one hour prior to services.
