Michael De La Rosa, 21, and Mariah De La Rosa, 19, both of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away tragically on Thursday morning, August 15, 2013, in Weld County, Colorado. Michael was born June 15, 1992, and Mariah was born March 19, 1994, both in Victorville, California, to Chantel (Sayle) Shaddy. They were graduates of Hesperia High School in Hesperia, California, and Michael attended Victor Valley Community College before moving to Cheyenne where he worked for Shoe Carnival and most recently for Sam's Club as a meat cutter. Mariah moved to Cheyenne from Hesperia following her graduation from high school and she lived with her brother and worked first at Sam's Club and then for the YMCA as a pre-school teacher. Michael's many interests included skateboarding, spending time with his friends, listening to music, having fun and working hard for the finer things in life. Mariah loved fashion and it was common to see her with many different hair styles and colors. She also enjoyed to wearing cheetah print clothing, listening to music and spending time with her brothers and best friend, Michael. Michael and Mariah are survived by their parents, Chantel and Tim Shaddy of Cheyenne; three brothers, Devin Shaddy, Gunner Shaddy and T-Man Shaddy, all of Cheyenne; maternal grandparents, Dave and Ellen Koppenhaver of Hesperia, CA; Vearl and Louise Shaddy of Yucaipa, CA; and Michael's fiancée, Destiny Graves of Hesperia, CA. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Element Church with Pastor Jeff Maness officiating. A celebration of life will be held at the Knights of Columbus on West 28th Street immediately following the memorial service.
