Michael Fisher

Michael Edward Fisher, 54, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at his home on September 7, 2013. Mike was born November 21, 1958, in Cheyenne to Raymond and Juanita (Spindler) Fisher. Mike graduated from East High School in 1977 where he was a successful athlete. Mike ran his family's painting business in Cheyenne for many years. Mike married his wife, Kristi (Cooley), on January 6, 2006, in Cheyenne. Mike loved continuing a Fisher family tradition: working as a Heel for more than 30 years at Cheyenne Frontier Days. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family, friends, and his black lab, Koda. Mike was a wonderful cook, especially adept at preparing the game he brought home. Family was particularly important to Mike, and he loved to have his children and grandchildren near. Mike had a big heart and would always go out of his way to help anyone and make sure the people around him were happy. Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Marie Fisher, and maternal grandparents, Alpha and Edward Spindler. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Kristi; parents, Raymond and Juanita; son Coy (Alexandra) Fisher ; daughter, Kendall (Toby) Hohnholt and children, Brock and Tristan; stepson, Robert Hooker and his son, Liam; stepdaughter, Danielle and her children, Mariah, William, Emily and Kian; stepdaughter , Courtney (Colt) Price; sister, Wendy (Bill) Owen and their children, Nathan, Patrick, Callie (Mat)Holwegner, Nick and Matthew; sister, Cindy (Aubrey Eblin) Fisher and their son, Rocco; and many loving and wonderful friends too numerous to list. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father August Koeune as celebrant. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
