Michael Garcia

Mr. Michael Garcia, 57, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Mr. Garcia was born July 4, 1957, in Cheyenne, a son of the late Santiago and Emma (Martinez) Garcia. Michael served honorably in the United States Army and then worked as a checker for Safeway for 27 years. His many interests included reading, biking and taking walks. He also enjoyed spending the past few months reconnecting with his sisters and their families. Michael is survived by his sisters, Virginia Plumley and husband, Jerry, Sr., of Cheyenne, and Elizabeth Seslar, and husband, Brian, of Dallas, TX; a niece, Theresa Manzanares and husband, Steven Jr.; and a nephew, Robert Fuller of Chicago, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memory service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Restoration International Church. An interment service will follow at Olivet Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Avenue, Cheyenne.
