Michael F. Madlen, 84, of Cheyenne passed away July 24, 2019 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was born May 17, 1935 in South Bend, IN to Marshal and Madeline Madlen. He married Phyllis McDonald on September 26, 1963 in Anchorage, AK. He was a photogrammetric engineer with the Wyoming Department of Transportation. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy, and was an avid photographer, artist, rock and fossil hunter, weaver, reader, lover of small children and pets. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Madlen; children, Dale (Dani) Madlen, Kaye (Stewart) Black, Sharon (Tracy) Brown, Yvonne (Jerry) Sheffield, and Kenneth (Pam) Madlen; sisters, Sally Purks and Karen Schweiker; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home and private family services will be held.
