Michael Martinez

Michael A. Martinez, 33, of Cheyenne died April 16, 2015 in Cheyenne. He was born June 22, 1981 in Rawlins, WY to John Martinez, Jr. and Rebecca Martinez. He married Laura Rowe on September 19, 2009 in Cheyenne. He graduated from the University of Wyoming and was an appraiser for Laramie County. He was a fan of the UW Cowboys, New England Patriots, NASCAR, Pink Floyd and hobbies included yard work, wood working and going to the shooting range. He had a special place in his heart for his kitties, Lil Miss and Lil Guy. He is survived by his wife, Laura Rowe of Cheyenne; parents, Rebecca Martinez , John Martinez, Jr.(Terry Cassidy) of Cheyenne; siblings, Terri Ann (Dave) Grant all of Cheyenne, and Jason Martinez of Denver; grandmothers, Stella Martinez and June Vialpando, both of Rawlins; Father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Catherine Rowe of Cheyenne; sister in law- Sara (Tony) Mullen of Cheyenne ; brother in law- Matthew (Lorane) Rowe of Holly Springs, NC; uncles, Robert M. (Jodi) Martinez, Eddie A. (Marie) Martinez, Leonard Martinez, Eddie Vialpando all of Rawlins, Andy Vialpando of California; aunts Tina Farrington, Gloria Vialpando and Darlena (Bobby) Sandoval all of Rawlins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Juan B. Martinez and Jacob Vialpando; an aunt, Ruby Molina, and an uncle, Dennis Farrington. Those who wish may contribute to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Visitation will be Monday 5-7:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home. A vigil for the deceased will be Tuesday 6:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. The Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral.
