Michele Derfler

Michele S. Derfler, 63, of Cheyenne passed away May 31, 2017. She was born February 13, 1954 in San Francisco, CA to Roy and Betty Hitchcock. She was a contract specialist for the Bureau of Land Management, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Toastmasters. She was a skilled orator and a kind friendly person liked by all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, studying genealogy, sewing and spending time outdoors. She is survived by her children, Heather Struempf of Neah Bay, WA and Jonathan Fugitt of Lafayette, CO; granddaughter, Treasure Struempf; sisters, Linda Burger of Billings, MT and Tracey O'Connor of Helena, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home and private family services will be held.
