Mildred Miltenberger was born May 7, 1918, near Richland, Nebraska to Henry and Ruzina "Rose" (Hejhal) Dietrich. She grew up in Colfax County and attended country schools there. Mildred married John Pinker and later married Adam Miltenberger. She is survived by her children and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Albina Lauterbach, Toni Shockley and Mary Dietrich, Rosie Dietrich, brothers Henry, Anton, Roman, Milo and Lad Dietrich.
As some of you may know, or perhaps not – Millie had quite a flair for “loud colors” – she loved bright colors, the brighter, the gawdier, the better. The past few years Millie could be seen any and every day of the week sporting the most colorful leggings imaginable. In honoring Mildred we would ask anybody who plans on attending the internment ceremony to wear your brightest colors, be it leggings, hat, ties, shirt, skirt or blouse, kindly sport the most colorful attire you can find in your closet. That is a sure way to know that Mildred is smiling down on us as we lay her to rest.
