Milton Renner

Milton Renner, 88, of Cheyenne passed away December 13, 2017 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born March 3, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to Edwin and Clara Renner. He married Marilyn Wilke on September 18, 1954 in West Miltona, MN. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and the Cheyenne Stamp Club. He graduated from Ohio State with a degree in agriculture, and being alumni, followed the Ohio State football team. Milton and Marilyn traveled and lived around the world, eventually coming to Cheyenne in 1968 and being stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. He retired as a Major from the US Air Force, then worked on the base in civil service. Later he enjoyed working with the trees and customers at Riverbend Nursery. He had a green thumb and loved tending to his trees and garden around his house. He is survived by his children, Debra (Bradley) Vilen of San Diego, CA, Steve (Carolyn) Renner of Lander, WY and Rich (Barbara) Renner of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren, Michael Fargo, Gabrielle Vilen, Tyler (Audra) Renner, Tanner Renner, Cody Renner and Abigail Renner; step-grandchildren, Luke (Sami) Haugh and Olivia Haugh; step-great-grandchildren, Aubrynn and Kyden Haugh. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, parents and siblings, Elton Renner and Charlyne Bullard. Visitation will be Sunday 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Services will be Monday 2:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church with interment to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Those who wish may contribute to the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission School in Rocky Point, AZ.
