Mirelle Conkling

Mirelle U. Conkling, 81, of Cheyenne died February 25, 2015 in Cheyenne. She was born April 30, 1933 in Muskegon, MI to Franklin and Florence Kalman. She married Robert Conkling on May 17, 1951 in Muskegon, MI. She was a member of Destiny Church, Cheyenne Mothersingers and many church choirs. She was most recently a caregiver, but worked many years at the Hitching Post and Cal's Restaurant. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Richard Navarro) Hoover of Cheyenne, Wanda (Orville) Rodgers of Topeka, KS ad Barbie (Terry) Gjervold of Cheyenne, 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Florence Kalman; husband, Robert Conkling; children, Judy Conkling and Bobby Conkling; siblings, Gwen Kramer, Royce Oakley Kalman, Maylon Kalman and Marilee Leisenring. Those who wish may contribute to the St. Jude's Hospital or Davis Hospice Center. Memorial Services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home with a reception to follow in the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and online condolences may be made at www.schradercares.com.
