Mrs. Miriam Cleoma Griggs, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, entered into heaven on Thursday, July 21, 2011. She died of natural causes. Mrs. Griggs was born February 15, 1924, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Elmer and Myrtle (Hennigan) Lundquist. Miriam was a loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a member of North Cheyenne Baptist Church. Passionate about baseball, plants and flowers and all the activities of her family, she participated in life with enthusiasm. Miriam is survived by four children, Miriam Fisk (Brad) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jamie Pullos(Take) of Cheyenne, Donald Griggs II (Krista) of Olympia, WA, and Sandra Sutton (Alvin) of Cheyenne; a brother, Elmer Lundquist (Louise) of Erie, PA; a sister, Nancy Baumgartner (Paul) of Brookside, PA; eighteen grandchildren: Sarah, Rebecca and Matthew Pullos, Alexander, Zackariah, and Chancellor Sutton, Carrie and Anna Griggs, Melissa Hoyos(Jorge), Jennifer McLaimtaig (Kieran), Elizabeth Barthels (Seth), Nathan Fisk (Lisa), Kyle Fisk (Terra), Erin McLaughlin (Troy), Benjamin Fisk (Nicole), Andrew Fisk (Charity), Trevor and Emily Fisk; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Donald M. Griggs in 1987; her brother, Donald Lundquist; and one grandchild, Peter Pullos. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Ray Galloway of North Cheyenne Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in California, Thursday, August 11th.
