Morris Ashworth

Morris Henderson Ashworth, 87, of Cheyenne died June 24, 2012 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born May 26, 1925 in Ansley, Nebraska to Ralph and Agnes (Hoops) Ashworth. He married Ruth A. Loetscher on February 22, 1947 in Burns, WY. He served in the US Navy and on the USS Slater during WWII. He retired from the US Post office. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Cheyenne Jackalopes. He is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Alan and Tanya Ashworth of, Evergreen, CO, Roger and Shirley Ashworth of Cheyenne and Eugene and Stephanie Ashworth of Cheyenne; grandchildren, David and Misty Whetstone, Justin and April Talkington. Roger and Casey Ashworth, Jr., Clinton and Beth Ashworth, Chris Ashworth, Michaela Ashworth, LeAnna Ashworth and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ashworth; parents, Ralph and Agnes Ashworth; brother, Jasper Ashworth; sisters, Mable Black, Mildred Daniels and Leta Smith. He was very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Interment Center at Memorial Gardensl Cemetery with Rev.Dave Stratton officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Ashworth, Justin Talkington, Roger Ashworth, David Whetstone, Jr., Clint Ashworth and David Whetstone, Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zane Lacey and Bill Wininger.
