In loving memory of Nadine Amen, a cherished homemaker who dedicated nearly 71 years to her beloved husband and children. Nadine, born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 10, 1935, peacefully passed away on June 10 2024, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming due to complications from pneumonia.
Nadine Amen was a beacon of light who brightened every room with her infectious smile and joyful spirit. Her patience knew no bounds, and her endless love and prayers were a comfort to her family, friends, and anyone in need. She exuded a gentle warmth that welcomed all into her presence, creating a sense of calmness that touched everyone around her.
Some of the most cherished memories of Nadine include spending time in the Tetons with her family, enjoying hikes and meals. Holidays were always special in the Amen household, with Nadine's elegant table settings setting the perfect backdrop for memorable gatherings. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, even assisting her children with their newspaper routes during inclement weather.
Nadine found joy in simple pleasures such as daily walks with her husband Jim and exploring nature through hiking excursions abroad. Her love for classical music and talent in the kitchen were unparalleled—she took great delight in trying new recipes and compiling her own cookbooks.
Throughout her life, Nadine accomplished remarkable feats that brought immense pride to her loved ones. A devoted member of various churches, (EUB, First Baptist and most recently First Presbyterian) she taught Sunday school and devoted herself tirelessly to church activities. Alongside her husband, she generously supported initiatives assisting children worldwide.
Nadine's crowning achievement was raising her three children: Colleen Johnson (Gary), and Kevin Amen (Meg) and Kyle Amen. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, James Amen; daughter Colleen; son Kevin; grandchildren Andrew Amen, Rachel Amen, Trevor Woodall, Kayla Carreon; great-grandchildren Lilly, Emmalyn, Issabella, Aiden, and Beckett; sister-in-law Shirley Amen; nephews Robin Stiles (Barb), Duwayne Amen (Cinda); nieces Kathy Amen, Christine Amen, Christy Britton.
