Nancy O'Dell

Nancy J. O'Dell, 85, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Nancy was born December 1, 1933 in Superior, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Alvin S. and Neva (Rood) Wilcox. Nancy was a dedicated mother, raising four sons while her husband, James, worked for the telephone company. She continued working in the family business assisting her husband as the manager of their mobile home park. Her sense of humor and endless energy was evident in everything that she did. She enjoyed shopping, painting, scrapbooking, playing cards and Bingo and making greeting cards, even though for the past 15 years she was legally blind. Her other interests included being involved in the American Legion Auxiliary and traveling south to Texas and Arizona for the past 30 years. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Nancy is survived by her husband, James R. O'Dell of Cheyenne; four sons, Dennis O'Dell (Robin) of Berthoud, CO, Randy O'Dell (Lisa) of Cheyenne, Douglas O'Dell (Tanya) of Cheyenne, and David O'Dell (Carol) of Cheyenne; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Connie Keough and Donna Blendheim. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. An interment service will be held at Beth El Cemetery with a reception to immediately follow in the Schrader Reception Center.
