Nellie Nielsen

Mrs. Nellie Mae (Abbott) Nielsen, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Tuesday morning, July 7, 2015, at Kindred Healthcare in Cheyenne. Mrs. Nielsen was born March 27, 1923, in Gordon, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Madden and Cora Bell (Gardner) Abbott. Nellie will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed caring for her home and her family. She also enjoyed serving as a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Good Sam Club. Her favorite hobbies were crocheting and knitting which she did for most of her life. Nellie is survived by her daughter, Deborah Nielsen of Cheyenne. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Nielsen; four brothers, Ernest, Leonard, John and an infant brother; and a sister, Velma. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, July 10th at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home with The Reverend Elizabeth McVicker officiating. An interment service will follow at Beth El Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
