Neva Talbert

Neva K. Talbert, 97, passed away on March 15, 2018 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Neva was born on January 28, 1921 in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Wayne and Katherine Moats. Neva lived and worked for the majority of her life living and working in the Cheyenne area. Neva was an all-state basketball player and won a state championship in Wyoming. She also was a small business owner. Neva loved to bowl and listening to big band music. She was most proud and supportive of her family. She never missed a spelling bee, game or play. She and husband, Dick of 64 years, were farmers and grew wheat and raised sheep. Neva is survived by two children, Janice Hansen and Sherri (Lee) May; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Neva was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Sandra Hansen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a memory service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan DeBruyn officiating. An interment service will be held at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens and a reception will follow at Schrader Reception Center immediately following interment.
