Norma Rabou

Funeral services for Norma Lee Rabou, 82 year old Albin, Wyoming resident who went to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter in Buffalo, Wyoming, will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Albin Community Center with Pastor John Morrison officiating. A private interment will be on the Rabou Family Ranch near Albin. Donations or flowers in Norma’s memory may be made to the Albin Baptist Church in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Norma Lee Rabou was born in Denver, Colorado to her adoptive parents, Luke and Florence Cowan on December 23, 1938. She attended Central High School in Cheyenne and went to college at the University of Hawaii and Stephens College in Missouri.  She married Robert C. Rabou on December 6, 1958 in Pine Bluffs, Wy and they lived on the family Ranch in Albin, Wy. Norma was a ranch wife and also worked a few years for Moore’s Grocery Store in Albin. Norma loved to garden and was a master seamstress. She made many garments over the years for her family and priceless quilts. Norma enjoyed the many aspects of ranching, loved riding horses and was definitely an animal lover.  She was also long-time member of the Albin Baptist Church and the women’s Bible study group. Norma spent her last few years living with her daughter, Roxanne, in Buffalo, Wy, enjoying life in the beautiful Big Horn Mountains.

Norma is survived by her children Ramona (Lee) Willert of Albin, Carolee (Lyle) Smith of Dumas, Tx, Rex (Alisa) Rabou of Cheyenne and Roxanne (Bill) Moreland of Buffalo, Wy; grandchildren, Aimee, John, Travis, Cordell, Zane, Ray, Naomi and Ethan; nephews, Roy and Billy Hale, Steve and Greg Alouf; nieces, Stacy Malm and Nicole Alouf; and many great-grandchildren.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Florence Cowan; her biological mother, Clara Jennings and father, Paul Crouse; her sister, Pauline Crouse; her husband, Robert Rabou; and grandchild, Landen Moreland.
