Patricia Rayl

Patricia Alice “Patti” Rayl, 66, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center following long-term complications from celiac disease.

Patti was born September 4, 1953 in Bloomington, Indiana, daughter of the late Ralph and Wilma (Sylvester) Thrasher.

Patti grew up in Bloomington and lived many years in Saratoga, Wyoming. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and lived in many cities while he worked on the road including Lima, Ohio, Fort Collins, Colorado, Cleveland, Tennessee, Gonzales, Louisiana, Newbern, North Carolina, Sweetwater, Texas, Benton, Arkansas, Sarasota, Florida, Wachula, Florida, Perry, Florida, and Pensacola, Florida before making Cheyenne her home to be closer to her grandchildren.  She enjoyed working as a certified personal trainer while also teaching Sunday school.  Patti had a genuine interest in others and their well-being, making them feel special. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and for being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

Patti is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Jeffrey L. Rayl; son, Nathan Rayl and wife, Kim; daughter, Sarah Rayl; brother, Brent Thrasher and wife, Sara; grandsons, Jake and Joey Rayl; granddaughter, Autumn Rayl; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  An interment service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park followed by a reception at Cheyenne Hills Church-The Barn.
