It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother Patricia (Pat) Chandler.
Pat passed away at home in Cheyenne Wyoming, on January 26, 2023.
Pat was born in 1941 to Lucille Pray and Van Cameron Rudd in Gadsden Alabama. A move to Atlanta led her to the love of her life Robert Chandler and they spent the next 60 years building their lives and family together. Pat became a military wife and spent a large amount of her life moving from place to place throughout the United States and a few years in Japan, before Robert retired in Cheyenne, Wyoming which became their forever home. No matter where Pat was living, it was always home and her southern roots stayed with her, especially her cooking, vocabulary, and attitude.
Pat worked several different jobs over the years, retiring from K-Mart after 18 years. Pat obtained her education and license as a Pharmacy tech which was her last job before completely retiring.
Pat was the strongest and most independent woman around. She never let life get her down and took out any obstacle in her way with her sharp wit, strong personality, and amazing sense of humor. She loved spending time with family and could tell stories for hours. Pat enjoyed writing and other hobbies such as crocheting, knitting, and painting ceramics. Pat also taught herself to use a computer and enjoyed playing computer games. She was an avid World of Warcraft fan and player.
Pat was a unique, strong, and loving soul who will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pat is survived by Robert Chandler her loving husband of 60 years, 3 children Darla Chandler, Wendy (Bryan) Shrove & Robert Chandler Jr, 5 Grandchildren Jennifer (Jerry) Turpin, Ryan (Karissa) Chandler, Amanda (Fred) Padilla, Christa (Steve) Luhman, Zackary Chandler and 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Sister Diane (Wayne) Jones.
