Cheyenne

Patrick Daniel Flores was born on October 29, 1976 and passed away on March 8, 2024. Patrick, a devoted Catholic, was gifted from the Lord since birth. He could memorize all of the football and baseball cards from the early age of three! His older brothers friends would ask "Can your little brother read?" To which his brother would say "Yes, ha-ha." He knew the names and stats of most players cards, that they had collected all of their lives, a big keepsake their children now hope to recoup.

He was always an animal lover and always wanted to bring strays home. Patrick would always help and protect handicapped or bullied children at an early age, and that trait continued through adulthood. He once brought home a homeless person to his hotel room to have a meal and clean up, the man ended up staying with him for two weeks.

In elementary school, Pat got the Presidential Award. He started out in sports putting his glove on his head, being bored in pee-wee league, he wanted to pitch and was bored in the outfield. He learned to become quite the baseball player over the years, becoming an accomplished pitcher and hitter. A few of the boys would say "I'm not catching if Pat is pitching-that hurts!" He is the only one I have ever seen hit a line drive home run over left-center field. He wrestled little league and would lose his matches-wanting to win only on brute strength, without learning his wrestling moves. He quickly figured out that it also took skill. He ran track and broke records, which he was very proud of. Later, a close friend, Dan Watson broke his record, and Pat loved it! He lost his friend shortly after. He was ecstatic that a close friend broke his record. He even made a relay team that was taken to Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Pat played football with vigorous skill and desire. Known as the "X-Man", he played varsity his freshman year, lettered four years, made the Shrine Bowl and excelled there, he also went to the Down Under Bowl. He went water rafting in New Zealand and climbed trees with the Hawaiian locals. He played Varsity basketball and excelled as the team captain. The team became regional champs! An All State player, his picture was hung in Rawlins High School for years. He was the Senior Class President and was involved in class decisions.
He had a child in high school with Jean Whalen named Drew Daniel Flores.

He went on to marry Beth Daniels Flores and they had three children. Haley Essence Flores (US Navy), Dante Antone Flores, and Reese Chloe Flores.

Drew and Taylor have a son, Jet Daniel Flores, and Dante and Tosha have a daughter named Milana Nicole. Patrick enjoyed and loved them tremendously. They sure loved him, he always had that genuine touch and love.

Patrick married Amanda Hancock on January 21st 2022 in Centennial Colorado.

Pat was a pipe fitter and welder by trade and was a loving and giving person that helped others all of his life. He related to people on all walks of life. He was a trusting and a giving soul. "To know him was to love him!" He had the biggest heart and smile, and was so humorous with a quick wit- everyone was drawn to him.
Patrick loved his big family, he and his brother Jerome were raised closely to their Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Patrick and Jerome loved collecting sport cards from the age of five. It was a joy to watch them and their friends collect and arrange the cards by teams, rookie cards, stats, and years. Patrick's favorite teams were the Dodgers and the L.A. Lakers.

Patrick is survived by his children, Drew Daniel Flores (Taylor), Haley Essence Flores (Olivia), Dante Antone Flores (Tosha) and Reece Chloe Flores (Chelsey). His precious grandchildren, Jet Daniel and Milana Nicole. His brother, Jerome Flores (Kim). Grandmother, Aurora Gonzales. Parents, David and Julia Cruz. Numerous Uncles, Aunts, Great Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and his cherished friends.
