Mr. Paul Andrew Halkovitz, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Wednesday evening, August 27, 2014, at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne. Mr. Halkovitz was born January 21, 1937, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Paul A. and Mary (Droschek) Halkovitz. Paul served in the United States Air Force in Tripoli, Lybia. Following his honorable discharge, he moved to Cheyenne in 1964 and married Inzamae "Sam" Pukash in 1974. He worked for Consolidated Freightways as a truck driver. His many interests included building model airplanes, boats, birdhouses and tin men. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Paul will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Sam Halkovitz of Cheyenne; his son, Michael Pukash of Cheyenne; his daughter, Donna Cornick and husband, Pete, of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Leslie Fagenbush and husband, Chris, of Wheatland, WY, Andrea Stokes and husband, David, of Cheyenne, Matthew McCallum and wife, Michelle, of Cheyenne, and Robert Cornick and wife, Heather, of Douglas, WY; eight great-grandchildren, Adri, Taylor, Katie, Braden, Braxten, Quinlynn, Dazlynn and Alicia; two nephews, Joseph and Brian; and three nieces, Dawn, Dana and Lisa. A memory service with military honors will be conducted on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
