Paula Faye Riggins, 69, of Cheyenne died February 8, 2016, peacefully in her sleep. She was a saucy southern woman with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. She was born August 16, 1946, in Belle Glade, Florida. Paula lived in Cheyenne for most of the last 20 years. She completed some college, but as a single mother she found herself in work that often cared for others, such as in daycare, healthcare and non-profit areas. Paula worked for Habitat For Humanity ReStore, where she loved bantering with her co-workers and patrons. She enjoyed watching football, spending time with her family, and studying the bible. Paula is survived by her sons, Seneca Riggins of Cheyenne, Jeffrey Williams of Denver, and James Williams of Denver; two sisters, Theresa Thompson of Inverness, FL, and Ginny Mintz of Georgia; two nieces; seven grand-children; and two great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Colbert Thompson; and her son, Jonathan Riggins. A celebration of her life will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Cheyenne Kiwanis Community House. Please bring a story or memory to share. Friends who wish may also contribute to their local Habitat For Humanity ReStore.
