Peter Alexander

Peter T. Alexander, 81, of Cheyenne passed away June 25, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center of Cheyenne. Peter was born May 9, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Theodore and Georgia Alexander. Peter served in the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Bernadette Normandin on December 31, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a lifelong member of the VFW 4343. Peter was a great fisherman who loved Wyoming and the outdoors. He was a wonderful loving father and friend who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Peter is survived by his wife, Bernadette Alexander of Cheyenne; his son, Lonnie Alexander of Las Vegas, Nevada; his daughters, Georgia Garber Knudsen of Missouri, Robbie (Tony) Rizzo of Missouri; his step daughters, Dina Ream, Kim (Jim) Roach, Sherri (Mitch) Brown and Jill Johansen; his sisters, Estelle (Jim) Haefele of Cheyenne and Connie Jay of Spokane, Washington. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christina and Danny Alexander, Joy Clinger and Tiffany Smith, Michael and Sean Rizzo, Eric and Jessica Ream, Dylan Stafford, Travis and Dalton Brown, Briana (Josh) Ricketts, Annaleise and Zoe Johansen; his great grandchildren, Payson, Jullian and BayLee Smith and Jordan Ream; his nephews, Ted (Rhonda) and Steve Alexander of Bozeman, Montana, Britten and Forrest Jay and a niece, Stacey Haefele. H e was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mitch Alexander, his stepmother, Irene and a nephew, Mike Alexander. Cremation will take place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory and private family service will be held.
