Peter Basile

Peter L Basile, 68 of Cheyenne, WY went onto be with Jesus on January 7, 2023 with his family by his side.   March 2, 1954, Peter was born in Denver Colorado to Helen and Sam Basile.  He lived a full and wonderful life.

Peter married Pam (aka Sam) March 18, 1977 in Colorado where they lived until moving to Wyoming.  He is survived by Pam and his daughter, Mandi, the light of his life.  Also, surviving siblings are Sam (Jan) Basile,  Linda Basile, Mary Lou (Ron) Kulbe, Rosemary (Kenny Barbari ), Rocky Basile, Dino (Tammy)Basile, Anne (Cris) Vanner  and Gina along with many nieces and nephews all of whom he cherished and loved. 

Peter was preceded in death by Sam and Helen Basile.

Peter’s degree in accounting led him to a career as Payroll Manager for LCSD# 2 and Great Lakes Aviation.  He looked forward each year to helping others with their tax preparation, all due to his love for  numbers and the challenges.   

He had been invited and served on the boards for First Education Credit Union,  United Way and Stride learning center.  He fondly supported  Special Olympics and other such organizations. 

His retirement afforded him the time to spend time in his yard, always perfecting and grooming or organizing and re-organizing his garage. 

Peter was brave beyond measure at times in achieving, accomplishing goals and dreams.  He was a perfectionist.  He was highly respected by his peers and friends. He was humble and put others above his own needs or desires. His kindness and generosity knew no limits.  He was always open other’s needs and quick  to reach out and offer kindness and meet the needs the best he could.    

On Christmas Day, he realized his “mission” in life was to share his salvation experience with his family wanting to assure he would see them all again one day in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Peter Basile Charity Memorial Funds to 120 W. Carlson Cheyenne, WY 82001 to carry on his commitment to various charities special to his heart. 

Services will be at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Cheyenne, on January 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM
