Peter Tarantola, 89, of Cheyenne died April 28, 2011 in Cheyenne. He was born February 23, 1922 in Cheyenne to Antonio and Maria (Dicorte) Tarantola. He married Louise Crinklaw on August 22, 1942 in Kimball, NE. He served during WWII in the US Army/Air Force. Upon his discharge in 1946, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist until 1952. He then worked in insurance until 1955. From 1955 until 1980 he was a machinist and pump mechanic for Frontier/Marathon Oil Company. He was a member of Rocky Mountain Lodge #40 A.F.& A.M. (Master Mason), lifetime member of the Cheyenne Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, Wyoming Consistory #1 and the Korein Temple. He is survived by his brother, Tony Tarantola of Cheyenne and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Tarantola; his parents and siblings, Stephen Terry, Carl Tarantola, Mary Tonning and Tillie Pruett.
